Description
The beater is a percussion folk instrument. It is based on a small wooden frame covered with leather, a bovine bubble or some other elastic, good-sounding material: thin plywood, plastic. The ideal material for covering a kokoshnik is plastic or drum leather sold in music stores. You can fit only two wide sides of the frame. A wooden ball tied to the upper part of the hull will hit them, making sounds similar to machine-gun shot. The other four walls of the beater are made of plywood or plastic, and a strap with a ball is fixed at the top with a knot, and a handle is inserted into the bottom, by which the tool is held with one hand.
